Saturday, March 30 was a day filled with joy, laughter, and a lot of eggs! The New Castle Egg Hunt, the first annual community event that brought together families, friends, and neighbors, was a resounding success. Held under beautiful sunny weather, the day couldn't have been more perfect for a community gathering.
The day started off with our dedicated volunteers hard at work. It took about 90 minutes to hide a whopping 2,200 eggs across the sprawling event grounds. This was no easy feat, but the sight of our little egg hunters' excited faces more than made up for it. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious!
Before we knew it, our 100 or so egg hunters found all the eggs in record time. The thrill of the hunt, the joy of discovery, and the sense of community made the event a remarkable experience for everyone involved. And based on the speed at which the eggs were found this year, we'll definitely be adding more eggs to the hunt next year.
We were fortunate to have the support of our co-hosts and the larger community. A huge THANK YOU to our co-hosts Craig County Rescue Squad, Craig County Public Library, and CCRCA -Craig Co. Rec Field of Dreams. Their contribution to the event's success cannot be overstated.
Our gratitude also extends to all the kind volunteers and community members who donated their time and money to make this event possible. It is through their generosity and commitment that we were able to pull off such an engaging event. Their efforts ensured that the New Castle Egg Hunt was not just an event, but a cherished memory for our little ones.
And of course, none of this would have been possible without the parents and guardians who brought their children to join in on the fun. Their support and participation added to the joy and spirit of the event.
As the day came to a close, the air was filled with the echoes of laughter and the warmth of community spirit. We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate the Easter weekend.
As we look forward to the next New Castle Egg Hunt, we are filled with gratitude for the support and enthusiasm of our community. We hope to continue creating delightful experiences and unforgettable memories for everyone.
